Description

Designed for everyday winter wear around town, keeping your hands warm under your jacket or coat, the WFX DISTRICT WP introduces an innovative concept in terms of construction and thermal insulation. Most winter gloves have always been constructed in the same way... To put it simply: thick, dense thermal insulation on the back of the hand, and thinner insulation on the palm extending up to between the fingers. This is the weak point of this traditional construction. The cold eventually penetrates through the forks (the area between the fingers).

FIVE is rethinking the fundamentals of thermal insulation by adopting a new construction called THERMO+™, offering up to 20% more thermal gain, based on PRIMALOFT® insulation, the best in the field. The concept is quite simple: thick insulation on the top extends down to between the fingers, while thinner insulation is contained at the base (flat) of the palm and fingers. This means reconsidering all the other elements of the glove, such as the external structure and the waterproof membrane, in order to maintain perfect flexibility and a good grip on the handlebars. It is when riding in the cold that you really appreciate the benefits of the Thermo+™ construction. The thicker, denser insulation in the forks provides a much more effective thermal barrier and helps to preserve the natural warmth of the hand in the glove for longer.

Beyond this innovation, the WFX DISTRICT WP stands out thanks to its combination of a supple full-grain leather palm, water-repellent Softshell upper, and ribbed cuff designed to retain heat inside the glove. Soft and comfortable, it features all the elements common to FIVE gloves, with its waterproof and breathable 5_Drytech™ membrane, ERGO PROTECH® shells, Touch Screen™ system, and Clear Vision Pad™.
