Understanding the FIVE bike range
As a true specialist in bike gloves, FIVE has developed a complete collection, with the aim of offering you a glove model adapted to YOUR riding style. Because you don't wear the same type of gloves whether you're riding a road bike , a gravel bike, a mountain bike or an electrically-assisted city bike (VAE). Likewise, weather conditions - rain, cold, wind, heat - can influence the type of gloves to choose.
Just as there are different types of bikes, our collection is organized by type (also known as family, category or range).
There are currently five.

SHORTY ROAD
The ROAD category is aimed at road bike , with some models also suitable for Gravel.
With two sub-categories:
- ROAD PERFORMANCE: for those who prefer performance and want a bike glove with a second-skin effect to be at one with their bike.
- ROAD COMFORT: for those who prefer comfort and want a bike glove that reduces fatigue thanks to gel pads to attenuate vibrations felt on the handlebars.
MTB
The MTB category is for those who ride dirt bike , all-terrain bike , cross-country or XC bike , downhill or DH bike .
With two sub-categories:
- MTB HEAVY DUTY: for those who prefer to ride with a minimum of protection. These bike gloves are considered PPE (personal protective equipment) and are subject to certification tests.
- MTB ALL RIDE: for those who prefer a lightweight, ventilated glove bike
BMX
The BMX category includes bike gloves dedicated to competition on BMX tracks. They are performance-oriented, and feature anti-abrasion elements in the palm for serenely tackling the groomed or concreted areas of modern tracks.
These FIVE BMX gloves were developed with Sylvain ANDRÉ, 2018 world champion and 2024 Olympic vice-champion.
STREET URBAN
The STREET URBAN category includes our urban bicycle or VAE gloves designed for urban use. They feature comfort and practicality features that make urban and suburban cycling a pleasure.
Their aesthetic is inspired by urban fashion, making them easy to match with your everyday outfit.
FALL-WINTER
The FALL-WINTER category includes gloves designed for bike in difficult weather conditions. They are designed to delay the effects of wind, rain or cold, and increase rider comfort. They are designed for both road and mountain bike enthusiasts, depending on their characteristics. Trying them out is more often than not tantamount to adopting them, as they offer significant gains in comfort and enjoyment when bike in bad weather.
With two sub-categories:
- FALL-WINTER / EXTREME COLD WARM WATERPROOF: These winter bike gloves are designed to protect against extreme cold. These gloves all feature thermal insulation and a breathable waterproof membrane. Their aim is to keep your hands warm and dry for as long as possible during long bike rides in the middle of winter, or when temperatures drop very low, as in the high mountains.
- FALL-WINTER / COLD WEATHER WINDPROOF / SHORT or LONG: These are mid-season bike gloves designed to act as a barrier against moderate cold and wind. Mid-season bike gloves with long cuffs are designed for use on the road. Short-sleeved mid-season bike gloves are more suited to off-road / mountain bike . But everyone will choose their FIVE mid-season bike gloves according to their own preferences.
