Understanding the FIVE Motorcycle glove collection
As a true glove specialist, FIVE has developed a complete range, seeking to offer you a glove that’s perfect for YOUR type of riding. Because you don’t wear the same kind of gloves for riding a motorcycle on the racetrack, road, in the city, or off-road. Similarly, weather conditions, such as rain, cold, wind, and heat, can influence the type of gloves you choose.
Just as there are different kinds of motorcycles, our collection is organized by types (which we also call families, categories, or ranges).
We currently have ten of them.

RACING
The RACING category is designed for those who ride a sport or racing bike on the racetrack, for leisure, or competitively, but also on the open road, seeking the perfect balance between comfort, protection, control sensitivity, and a high level of performance.
With 3 sub-categories:
- RACING PERFORMANCE: for those who ride a bike on the racetrack or the road and prioritize performance and a high level of protection. They were developed alongside our official FIVE riders, who have won multiple world championship titles.
- RACING SPORT: for those who ride sport bikes on the road and prioritize comfort, without compromising on protection.
- RACING WP: for those who hit the road on their sport bike even in the rain and who want effective, waterproof gloves.
STREET
The STREET category is designed for those who ride roadster or supermoto bikes or maxi-scooters in the city or on the road, for short or medium-length jaunts, and who prioritize protection, preferring motorcycle gloves with short cuffs that feature multiple protective shells, all the way down to the palm side.
With 3 sub-categories:
- STREET PERFORMANCE: for those who want a short, protective motorcycle glove featuring shells with a sharp and dynamic design that reflects their personality and their serious, assertive approach to riding.
- STREET SPORT: for those who want a short, protective motorcycle glove featuring shells with a bold and streamlined design that reflects their active, sporty lifestyle.
- STREET WP: for those who ride their motorcycle even in the rain and want a glove focused on comfort, protection, and waterproofness.
URBAN
The URBAN category is designed for those who ride motorcycles or scooters in urban or suburban environments over short or medium distances and who favor elegance and discretion without ever skimping on protection.
It includes summer gloves and waterproof mid-season motorcycle gloves (URBAN WP) or winter gloves (URBAN WINTER), as well as those that are battery-heated (URBAN HG).
In this category, style is a focus, and these gloves combine beautifully with your everyday looks. They are made for those who ride motorcycles, but who don’t necessarily want to look like a motorcyclist with too much gear; they prefer to follow fashion trends inspired by an urban lifestyle.
CUSTOM
The CUSTOM category is designed for fans of vintage, custom, or neo-retro motorcycles inspired by the past. Whether it’s café racers, bobbers, scramblers, or choppers, all these influences are represented in this range.
It includes gloves that lean heavily on leather, for an authentic look, as well as styles inspired by the legacy of motorcycle racing.
TRAIL ADVENTURE
The TRAIL ADVENTURE category is designed for adventurers who ride Trail motorcycles for long-distance travel on roads and highways, as well as off-road, on trails or even rough all-terrain surfaces, with bikes that are often tall and imposing, equipped with large-capacity fuel tanks and lots of luggage.
These gloves are made for facing the elements (rain, wind, heat) and must be sufficiently protective in case of a fall on asphalt, but also have to be comfortable in an upright position, which is common in trail/adventure riding on trails and dirt tracks, or when riding cross-country or fording rivers.
They feature soft protective elements and wide abrasion-resistant inserts made of high-tensile aramid on the palm (instead of the shells you might find on our road-riding styles), along with color schemes inspired by nature.
TOURING
The TOURING category is made for travelers on long-distance motorcycles who only ride on asphalt surfaces, such as road networks (highways, country roads, local or secondary roads).
These gloves prioritize the rider’s comfort over long hours at the controls, the ability to resist bad weather (rain, wind, etc.), protection from a fall on the asphalt, and durability, so they can be a long-lasting partner for traveling motorcyclists who go far and wide.
They’re designed to be comfortable and effective over long distances in a seated position and include practical elements that make navigating easier (like handling GPS or smartphone screens without taking off your glove, or easily wiping off your helmet visor while you ride, etc.).
WINTER
The WINTER category includes the FIVE gloves that feature thermal insulation and a breathable, waterproof membrane, for those who ride a motorcycle (or scooter) in urban or open-road conditions winter weather. These can be short- or long-cuffed motorcycle gloves that can be considered “wintertime motorcycle gloves”.
Their goal is to help you face bad weather, such as cold, wind, rain, or snow, in as much comfort as possible, and address the risks inherent to winter weather, which are made even riskier when riding a two-wheeled vehicle.
Depending on the styles and their specific technical characteristics, they are made for urban or city motorcyclists as well as road, adventure, or grand touring motorcyclists who aren’t afraid to ride their bike in the winter.
They’re designed so you can ride a motorcycle in the winter without freezing your hands off, while they keep your hands dry by repelling any moisture that can intensify the feeling of cold. They’re extremely protective against the cold, rain, or a fall. Basically, they’re made to help you avoid the many pitfalls of wintertime on your motorcycle.
HEAT TECHNOLOGY
The HEAT TECHNOLOGY category includes our heated winter motorcycle gloves that feature an integrated battery or a cable that connects it to the bike. With their electric-resistor heating system that covers the entire topside of the hand, down to the edge and inside of the first joint of the fingers, they help keep hands warm and delay the effects of the cold on motorcycle rides under the very coldest conditions.
These gloves all feature high-performance thermal insulation to protect you from the cold and a breathable, waterproof membrane to keep your hands dry. They come with all the characteristics of a proper winter motorcycle glove, with the bonus of an electrical heating system!
WOMAN
The WOMAN category includes all of our gloves designed for female motorcyclists. In this range, you’ll find gloves similar to those made for men, but with specific characteristics for women in terms of fit, design, or color schemes, as well as some gloves for women only.
Logically, here we have gloves for every possible use, in other words, motorcycle gloves for track riding, urban motorcycle or scooter gloves, waterproof gloves, and winter gloves, divided into sub-categories such as WOMAN RACING, WOMAN STREET, WOMAN TRAIL ADVENTURE, WOMAN WINTER, etc.
OFF-ROAD
The OFF-ROAD category includes gloves for all-terrain motorcycle riding, in two sub-categories: motocross gloves and enduro gloves.
MOTOCROSS gloves are designed for use on a closed motocross track, for training or competition. They’re made for competitive performance and offer impeccable control of the motorcycle and total freedom of movement through design and construction that provides a “second skin” feel, as though you’re wearing nothing at all on your hands. They’re designed exclusively for use on natural motocross tracks and in the dirt, mud, dust, sand, rocky terrain, etc., or on stadium dirt tracks, such as those in Supercross. They’re the result of our collaboration with a number of professional riders and champions.
ENDURO ENDURO gloves are made for all-terrain motorcycle riding, specifically Enduro, whether for pleasure or competitively. They’re designed to provide dexterity and comfort and withstand use in natural environments (in the forest, the woods, over plains, dirt, mud, sand, rocks, etc.), but can also sometimes be used on roads open to traffic (just like enduro bikes are), and therefore, they feature a motorcycle CE certification. They aim to provide comfortable riding and protection for use in nature and over long days of riding. They’ve been developed alongside our official FIVE riders, who have won many world championship titles.
